Nepious is an independent, free English test practice project with original exercises, local recordings and transparent scoring limits.
A place to practice with purpose
Nepious helps learners understand the Duolingo English Test format and rehearse the language skills involved. It brings together original questions, worked examples, prerecorded voices, timed exercises and a personal review journal.
What we publish
The question bank currently contains 258 authored exercises. Spoken prompts have American and British neural-voice variants. Models illustrate possible approaches; they are not answers to memorize or officially scored responses.
Our approach to accuracy
Public task descriptions and official DET publications inform the format. The learning strategies and examples are original. Source links are available for inspection, and material is labeled when a local approximation differs from the real test.
What we do not claim
Nepious is not affiliated with Duolingo. It does not provide certified results, admissions decisions, official proctoring or a validated score prediction. The practice band has an explicitly disclosed teaching formula. Browser transcription cannot replace a qualified assessment of spoken language.
Free and device-based
The public edition has no subscription, account or paid AI service. Recordings and progress stay in the visitor’s browser. Optional native transcription requires on-device support and does not fall back to a cloud recognizer.
